Randy Moss RELEASED by Vikes?

That's pretty much what happened in Tampa a few times in the past and is currently happening again.

I beg to differ with happening now. Raheem I think is a good coach, seems like a decent enough guy, and, more importantly, the players seem to be buying into his philosophy, and as a result we're winning games we might have lost last season. We're not the 12-4 team that won the super bowl 8 years before Gard's Saints did, but we're not the 3-13 team that was the laughing stock of the NFL last season either.

Now the Glaziers are idiots, I'll grant you that, but I don't think the Bucs are anywhere even close to the Vikes this season.

That behavior at lunch is nothing new for people who live in the income bracket of Randy Moss. Big deal.

But hey, lets cut the guy since he was mean to some people who made lunch. A lunch that apparently Silver felt was real yummy.

Agreed that it's not really a good reason to release someone from the team, but this type of behavior is completely unacceptable for the average lay person. Hence it should be completely unacceptable for someone like Randy Moss and even the most arrogant millionaire.

You have to take into account he not only represents himself but the entire team and to some degree, the city. It gives them all a black eye. Hopefully, them releasing him will send a message to other douche bags like him that this type of behavior is unacceptable. As I said before, I hope nobody picks him up.

He and other wealthy jackasses like him need to learn that just because they have money doesn't grant them the right to be a prick and berate people. They should in all actually be held to a higher standard.

I am a Saints fanatic, and despise all that is the Tampa Bay Bucs, yet I approve of and agree with this message.

...that said, the 5-2 record in TB is a mirage, and will collapse soon, expect 8-8/7-9 by the end of the season.

;)

Quoting this because I think it's the first time I've seen you actually spell call the Bucs the Tampa Bay Bucs and not the Tampon Bray Yucs.

Also I don't know many Bucs fans, if any, who expect us to finish 11-5 like our record would have us, though it would be a pleasant surprise. This was a rebuilding year, and billed as such from draft day on.

All I meant by that is that people are not going to the games. It's like back in the 80's and early 90's again when the games were always blacked out. The fans are sick of the losing seasons and extremely high ticket prices for a losing team.

I too, like Raheem and they do look much better than last year and even several of the seasons under Gruden. I'm also glad they are doing well. However, as I said in another thread, they did get destroyed when they played 2 solid teams. Their wins have all been against weak teams.

They need to beat Atlanta at least once, New Orleans, and Baltimore, if they are going to prove they're actually able to hold their own against good teams.

I have to agree with Gard. 8-8 or a 7-9 season sounds realistic for them, 9-7 at best.

Ah gotcha on the fan attendance. In the Bucs defense, they were playing the Saints and the Steelers, two teams that i'd call much better than merely solid when they want to play. I was hoping the Saints wouldn't have wanted to that game, guess I was wrong.

I'd never known this of Childress before now;

Players' mistrust of Childress extends all the way back to 2007, when Childress sought to dock receiver Troy Williamson a game check for missing a Sunday contest to attend his grandmother's funeral. That discord grew in 2008, when Childress declared Tarvaris Jackson the starter and gave the then-third-year quarterback all of eight quarters to develop before yanking him in favor of Gus Frerotte, a move that left most players wondering what to believe from their coach.

What a tool:scowl:. If I were a Vikes fan, I'd demand Chilly be waived.:spit:

:D

God Bless, Ray

Moss to the Titans.

Any Titan fans out there? What's the reaction in Tennessee?

I'm not really a Titans fan (Go Steelers!), but I wasn't surprised by this. I heard an interview with Jeff Fisher yesterday on Sirius NFL Network. He was asked outright whether the Titans would be interested in picking Moss up. His reply was basically that he thinks lots of teams have some interest; and that it's something he and his staff will need to discuss. So I knew he had enough interest to make it a possibility.

Incidentally, prior to Fisher's interview, Adam Schein & Rich Gannon were interviewing Mike Tomlin. They asked whether the Steelers had any interest in Moss. Tomlin's reply? A quick, no hesitation "No". When asked to elaborate, Tomlin just said that Moss doesn't fit into the Steelers plans.
