Here’s something you don’t see everyday... This one’s for all you vintage, tube and 810 fridge fanatics (and of course those who have roadies lol).
My Blonde Fender Super Bassman + a rare and never released for market LA-made, all-birch, NOS USA-era Acoustic VL810 (4ohm). It was set to release with a matching Acoustic head, but investors pulled out last minute due to an issue with the heads... this is probably the nicest 810 cab I’ve ever played through; huge chest-hitting lows, awesome pop and grizzly mids, plus tons of detail in the highs.
I was lucky enough to snag one of these premium (and way too heavy) cabs for my rehearsal space... features some killer Eminence drivers with heavy cast cones (and in a crazy config) + Foster type tweeter braced across the front.
Wheels or not, she definitely doesn’t move much, and is reserved for the rehearsal room but I can’t say enough about the tone combined with the Super Bassman.
I wish I had a shrinking serum and reverse potion for when I get to my destination. Ps just grabbed a 30th Annie Ray. Couldn’t be more excited or more grateful.
Anyway, just thought I’d share some weird bassporn. Hope all of you are doing awesome.
