I tune maybe twice a gig, sometimes only once. Last thing I need is a rack space eating chunk of bulk. And if you think anybody else cares about your spinal tap mini stonehenge lightshow, you REALLY need to work on your stage presence and musical power ; }
They're not necessarily out of tune. Most of them are just playing faster than their tuners can keep up with.Rack tuners are hilarious. I love watching how out of tune other bassists are when they play. I'm sure I'm the same way, but because it's not displayed in bright bold letters or lights it's harder to point out.
