I tune maybe twice a gig, sometimes only once. Last thing I need is a rack space eating chunk of bulk. And if you think anybody else cares about your spinal tap mini stonehenge lightshow, you REALLY need to work on your stage presence and musical power ; }

I am assuming you knew that I was kidding about adding to the stage show.

While big racks like the OP's can be fun, a perky little rack gets the job done with less hassle. And less people staring at it.

Rack tuners are hilarious. I love watching how out of tune other bassists are when they play. I'm sure I'm the same way, but because it's not displayed in bright bold letters or lights it's harder to point out.

They're not necessarily out of tune. Most of them are just playing faster than their tuners can keep up with.
