Love the head, but is that an 8 ohm cab? If so, you should consider getting a second 8 ohm cab or replace it with a 4 ohm cab. SVT-CL's are meant to run at 4 or 2 ohms and can eventually suffer damage from running at 8 ohms. Doesn't always happen, but it can, so better safe than sorry.

You have no idea how much this cab puts out man lol.

You should do some research on it. puts out way more than an Ampeg 410hlf. and it sounds like pure sex.

It's a 4 ohm cab, RMS is 1000 watts. I'm not too big a fan of epiphone basses either. But the T-bird bass is an exception to me. I really like it, can't wait till I save up and get me a stingray or a P bass

Since the cab's 4 ohms, I give your rig two thumbs up. Avatar makes a really nice cab for the money. Gotta get a second one, though, and REALLY rock the SVT-CL! In time, of course ;)

Yeah, that's a sweet rig. I'd like to get a white avatar but knowing me I'd scuff the hell out of it in a week. Probably safer getting black...

As far as OD / distortion goes, I've been done this path on that mythical tone quest... went through a modded tubescreamer, DOD 250 overdrive, Pro co Turbo Rat, GK 2001RB's distortion channel, and tried a few more at stores... Ultimately, for a really nice overdrive sound, I settled on a Fulltone Bass-drive Mosfet. Very adjustable, very pleasing overall overdrive. However, it's not an insane distortion pedal. More or less based on a tubescreamer type of OD with a whole lot more flexibility. A lot of people also really like the EHX English Muff'n. If you really want a powerfully distorted tone I'd check out Gallien Krueger's Diesel Dawg (which is the same circuit as the 2001RB's second channel, with the addition of a very useful mid knob) or the Tech 21 XXL bass edition, which I haven't tried but people seem to like for heavy distortion. Also the AMT communist / capitalist pig series look awfully promising... Fuzz is another story, I won't even touch on that.
