MIM Fender P-Bass. with MIA pups, and a schaller roller bridge
MIM FSR(ash) Fender Jazz bass. standard everything.

GK Goldline 500 head
Acousic 410
Ampeg SVT classic 18e

I also have a digitech rp500

Not a fan of ampeg or digitech myself but theres plenty who have used those to good effect. Not a fan of fender basses. But again many really like them. Rates the rig as average one for two basses and full stack amp rig. Neither spectacular nor wanting.

Just by looking at it, many (including me) would wonder how the 18 and 4x10 react together. But I would have to assume that you tried it, liked it, and that's why you got it. Regardless, it looks pretty mean.

what impedence are you running out of that GK? aren't most of those ampeg cabs 4 ohms, while the acoustics are 8? hmmm...

Good catch. If those are the right numbers, the load would be 2.67 ohms. As long as the head could go as low as 2 ohms, he's fine. Otherwise...

both cabs are 8ohms. the GK runs 500w at 4 ohms, so im doing alright

i LOVE the 18 and 410 combo.
i wish i had selective output, i will in my next head. the GK is just a transition.

but i get really thunderous booming yet filling lows with the ampeg, and the acoustic just smoothes out everything else.. i love the combo

I approve of the 4x10 and 1x18, but overall, it's not really my cup of tea.

I think, ideally, you'd want the single 18" to be 4 ohms and the 4x10" to be 8 ohms so that the volume between the two cabs would be relatively even in absence of bi-amping capabilities.

That's all personal preference, though.
