RC-2 question/issue

Battery = isolated.

But you have to have it off the chain for true isolation (otherwise, it runs by the AC source by default).

If it makes the noise regardless, that'd be really odd, and points to some other problem...

They are essentially THE universal standard for the majority of pedals, Boss and non-Boss. :eyebrow:

Nope - that would be the opposite of daisy-chaining.

Given the issues you're facing, it's hard to explain. Isolated power may be the best solution, and can be achieved by any of the following three ways:

- Run it on a battery (cheapest and easiest, but the RC-2 may not last long on a battery)
- Run it on its own individual wall wart (do not put it on a daisy chain)
- Run it using an output of an isolated power supply brick (like the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2)

If you want to isolate its power without breaking the bank, a battery or individual wall wart will work. You don't need an expensive supply to test this odd phenomenon.

If it still has issues after trying either option, let us know.

Also, a few questions: Does it make noise when it's the only pedal in the chain (in other words... Bass => RC-2 => Amp, and nothing else)?

Are you running it through the input of the amp or via the effects loop?

Sooo here it is. I got to rehersal and it had the high pitch. I then used just the battery, the pitch went away. It used the adapter, daisychained with the tuner, pitch was back. I plugged it straight into the RC-2...it was gone. Here is where it gets wierd. I plugged it straight into my DC brick, the pitch was present. I then plugged it straight into my Gator G-bus and there was no pitch...that was odd, but it worked so that is how it is hooked up now. The only thing i can figure is that i might have it plugged into the first spot on the G-bus where it might not be on the brick. Well i hope this helps anyone else with the issue...man what a mess...thanks for all of your help!!!
