Long story short, my second (!) Vigier arrived, this time an unmolested/stock Passion II in sexy black, reasonably priced, and I was a good boy this year, G-Damnit. With the case! It seems the liner is disintegrating......
Upon picking it up, it felt immediately familiar. Upon playing it, the French butter just oooozes from the neck, also familiar. So easy to play, and gives Hagstrom's claim for the fastest necks a run. Upon plugging it in, the preamp/controls are a total rabbit hole of useable toanz. My first one's preamp was gone when I got it, I am scratching my head as to why it was gone, it's just that good (maybe it was broken). Dang that @Rdore2000 to Hades! His GAS cured my GAS!
