Re-Branded gear? I'd like to see it.

You're probably not aware, but sub-zero is the own-brand label of a large UK music store. They use it for amps and some PA equipment.

I always wanted to slap a Mercedes Benz "Kompressor" badge on the vertical tank air compressor in our shop.

Maybe someday I will.

I currently have a stock Epifani 1-10 cab sitting on top of a stock Aguilar 1-12 cab. I've always been worried that I may be reported if anyone notices it and that the pairing may alter the magnetic field of the earth in my location.

My Strymon 800RB has been like a loyal friend by my side. And I couldn't resist putting an Autometer sticker on the Gasoline. Looks like it was meant to be there. Lol I guess I had two Autometer stickers, lol.

For every example of imaginative rebranding such as those in your photos, there are at least 50 people out there who have replaced a Squier headstock decal with Fender. ("I did it for my own pleasure, not because I've afraid of being judged. Anyway, I'm never going to sell it, so what's the difference? And when I do sell it, I'll make the buyer promise to tell whoever it's sold to next that it's not really a Fender.")

I've never done that particular mod, as I've never cared about being seen playing a cheap instrument (I'd sooner just remove the logo entirely), but I have done tons of electronics, hardware, and finish mods on instruments, sold them with a detailed description of those mods, then years later seen them on EBay or Reverb with no mention of my mods (sometimes non-reversible ones). I always message the seller to let them know, but have yet to see one actually edit the description after I've done so. I like to think they all made the instruments better, but that is subjective and as a buyer I'd at least want to know what I was buying

My son has a Squier Strat that he put his own logo on (his name is Stephen). I think we made a silk-screen to apply it with.

Not a bass or a piece of music great, but:
When I built the building to be my guitar building workshop, I used an old VW minibus as my tool shed. After I was finished the bus went away, but I saved the badge and gear shift knob. After the shop was set up I screwed the badge to the side of my big overarm router (a 1000lb cast iron behemoth) and put the gear shift knob on the turret lever. Lots of people thought it was legit.
I no longer have the machine but I'm pretty sure I still have those logos somewhere.

Repurposed this badge for my MojoTone 212 bassman from a company that manufacturers fire suppression equipment. It has an uncanny similarity to my surname.

Revere made talking film projectors in Chicago, this plate from a 16mm. It's on what started as a blown-up Markbass 121P.

I actually like the 58R head that's in it now so I hope it lasts a while. With zero service. I'll leave it at that.

I love the idea! I'm currently helping clean out an antique/junk store because the building sold. I will now be looking for badges and nameplates as I'm hauling junk.
I knew some guys who named their band after a furnace. One of them went on to play in a band that got signed and did a few albums for Sony if I remember correctly.
