How about a fully automated AI dance club that starts playing the germ of a beat, then, as people begin filling up the dance floor, the club somehow monitors the movement, faces, fashion, etc. of the dancers to feed back into and evolve the music and visualizers?

Somehow.

Next we'll have traffic monitors controlling our car stereos. "Please refrain from honking your horn, citizen, and enjoy the soothing croon of Slim Whitman."

In the movie Demolition Man, music on the radio was all commercials. Armour Hotdogs ad was a #1 hit.

Towns trying to make it easier for people to cross the street in a spot without a traffic light. My town has about a dozen so far and it's made a big difference.

The state of Massachusetts requires driver to stop for pedestrians in crosswalks, but there's still people who won't, so the flashing lights are to let them know someone is crossing the street.

I have to confess that when I was watching the Star Wars prequels and the young ObeWan goes into a bar, as I saw all the "regular people" going in and out, drinking, watching sports, I wondered to myself, "What would the daily life of these people actually be? How would the government and culture ACTUALLY affect their lives, within the technology that exists in such a system?

It kinda ruined the whole series for me. And I saw the first movie 27 times in the theater.
