Another very well-done video by PD. Something I never hear people discuss where reading is concerned is how it can help one better organize one’s “musical thoughts”. Practising reading has helped me conceptualize what I’m playing in a much clearer manner. It has also helped me become better aware of note length and rhythmic precision. Additionally, I find I can better remember material when I can visualize the rhythms (as opposed to just hearing them).
