Real or Counterfeit?

I saw this advertised as a Fender Bass, and obviously it says Fender on the headstock, but I have never seen a Fender with that shape of headstock on it. Fender Bass is the only description given. Is this a legit Fender bass model? My curiosity has been raised.

I can only find Squier MB4s, not Fender. Did Fender make them too?

If not it could definitely be a Fender decal placed on a squier.

Never mind: found a Fender. Fender MB-4 94-95 Black Made in Japan (MIJ)

Thanks for everyone's input. I had never seen one before. Does anyone have experience playing one? I'm always interested in the oddball stuff!
