*really* low wattage all tube practice amp?

While I love my '66 B-15N to death, lately I've been liking the idea of a much more portable, much smaller all tube practice amp. Something that puts out less than 10W with maybe a single 10" speaker. Less watts means less weight, and I don't need it to be that loud. Heck, I don't even need it sound great (although that would be a plus!).

Most of you knowledgeable "tube nerdz" that have been on here a while might recognize my username and know that I dabble from my postings in the past. Hell, I have over 1,800W worth of all tube amp in my basement and have done work on all of them. So... with that said... I want to build a kit.

Looking around the web a bunch today and I came across this guy:

Seems pretty cheap, right? Normally I'm not a "fender tone stack" type of guy, but in this case I think I can make an exception. Plus... I wonder if I can find one of those Ampeg B100's from the 70's (the solid state dudes), gut it and put this guy inside. Heck, they both even have three knobs! So if I did that with a B100 it would look stock and might even sound pretty good!

Just thinking out loud here... what say you? Sure, I could just go out and buy a smaller combo, but where's the fun in that? Just looking for a fun little project...

Guys... anyone can buy. I don't want to buy. I want to build. I'm a tube guy, and I want like 5 watts. I'm thinking of building that MOD102 and making a B-15 fliptop style 1x10 combo out of it. Maybe even a 1x8. Small. Light. I could even swap out the stack in it for a bandaxall B-15 one to make a 5W single ended B-15 little Frankenstein deal. Still thinking out loud, but that's where I'm leaning at the moment.

Just get the Hotone Thunder Bass 5 watt amp. It'll cost you less than parts to START a build.

I've got a H&K Tubemeister & I love it, but...
The thing is default scooped. I'm not sure if the BATT has the same issue, but in order to flatten my EQ, I have to put treble & bass to less than 9 o'clock, and the mids to around 3 o'clock.

I use a tube guitar head for bass almost every day & it's been fine, but...
The H&K boasts an oversized Output Transformer, which is an important part of running bass with a tube amp.
