Really quick question about GK Fusion 800 and cab pairing!

Hi all.
Just got a great deal on a GK Fusion 800 amp and looking forward to jamming out! There's another great local deal on a Hartke Hydrive 2x10 nearby, so I'm gonna grab that as well and be set for a while.

However, the amp reads 800w/4ohm and 500w/8ohm. The Hartke is 500w/8ohm. Will the amp basically auto-detect this configuration or is there some setting that I am unaware of that requires me to make that switch? The manual doesn't specify that I have to do anything about this, but I obviously wanted to make sure.

Thanks!

No switching needed. Just don’t go under the ohm load. I.e., don’t go 4 ohms if it says 8 ohm minimum, An 8 ohm cabinet on that amp will put out a max (approximately) 500 watts. Add another 8 ohm cabinet in parallel, and it acts like a 4 ohm load, getting 800 watts max. Just don’t turn it up to distortion and you should be fine.
