As a drummer primarily, I play bass, guitar, & keyboards too. This continual nonsense of bashing....you know all the names you use! It’s barely humorous. Grow the f up and think about what it takes to be a better player. And a team player. Bands are a dime a dozen. Either you’re happy with your situation or walk away. Communication is the key! I’ve played with some incredibly talented musicians and some that had minimal experience. You can’t go wrong with either - assuming the passion ia there!

This is a perfect example of why drummers get fired.
Brother, think of these drummer tropes as you would a “your mama” joke. There is very little true animosity or ill-will directed at drummers on here.
Lead guitarists, however, have mostly earned the disdain they find here.
(YMMV, IMO, ETC.)
Somebody obviously woke up from a nightmare and had to vent. I’m guessing it was probably eerily similar to that Spinal Tap moment with a bunch of bassists on stage.......except they were all picking on a lone drummer.
If you were in my band I’d fire you. I mean, I’d do that anyway with or without this post, but still. Fired, I say!

i am sure the campus you are protesting a speaker at has a safe place you can use for a bit.
What do you think a bass player is? We’re just failed, wannabe guitar players that aren’t good enough to play more that one note at a time. I just assume that’s what they call us over at the guitar forum.

Often times it's just venting anonymously...more or less the case for me.
Reality is many of us can't/won't leave a band because it's the only game in town, is often less than perfect, so we come here too vent.
