Rear Window

He knew from the start that their time was limited
That all things...
Nothing was permanent
The material
The intangible
Nothing ever lasted
Nothing but the soul
And his soul, now it was set aflame
The pyromaniacal dream
Brought forth into reality
Though the clock counts down
He so longs to resist it
And, as always, the effort is futile
Discouraged, he ponders this notion with a sad grin
For the first time he accepts the things he cannot change
For he now has the wisdom to know the difference
So he sits back
The clock shattered to bits
And just enjoys the ride

Insomniac since way back, see that's what I've been like.
Bacon, eggs and pancakes, eating that at midnight.
Getting up and going hard, I don't need no Enzyte
Come across as very calm, mental state is zen like.
Always had a lot of heart, never been the tin type.
Never will I drop a dime, never been the ten type.
My girlfriend is very fine, yes she is a ten, right?
Mink is dragging/dragon (double entendre) on the floor, fire in my windpipe.
You should come and clean up after riots that I incite.
Things got off the handle, left behind a landfill,
Traffic at a standstill, stadium is fan-filled,
Fill this bitch up with fans, you still won't blow my candle out.
My can do spirit's in the house, and it's possessing your possessions,
Did you hear it by the couch?
Bogeyman under here but not in your closet, cause I'm not a-
Won't drill no door hole, I won't make a peep, so you can go to sleep

Definitely Lupe, yeah, Definitely...

Radio back drop
Rain dances on my roof, outside -- ROOF!
I put the book down, investigate the sound.
The alarm isn't mine, the neighborhood is.
Military skill unused, still reflexive, still
still
The rain still falls, the alarm? She no longer calls (ROOF!)
A world beckons from the soft lit stadium "... Caviar and cigarettes Well versed in etiquette. Extraordinarily nice..."
Soft breathing, she is in her own world, I put a blanket over her and travel back to Dzur mountain.

He said he was just so tired, of them fighting our water with fire.
He said that we need something drier, to really impress the empire.
Funny cause he really hated war, but why we went to war is what he really hated more,
Said it's silly how that our schools make us stupid and our jobs make us poor.
When he came back from the Corps, is when he really got serious,
Read a lot of books, started acting all mysterious.
The VA is what really made him furious, told him his condition didn't exist, period.
That's why he started that petition, went all the way to Washington, said they didn't listen,
To a white male Christian
He just laughed when they took our father's pension.
He said that you gotta act in opposites, helps you hide your tracks when you stand up to the dominant.
But I knew he felt bad, told me later was the saddest day he ever had,
To see our dad so hopeless, that was the turning point that's what really gave him focus.
I didn't agree with everything, some of it made sense,
But never thought that he would do something like this.

-ATIII, one of my favourites from F&L2...can't wait!!

Who is this steering the ship?
Who is moving the earth, ushering the Jaws theme,
Providing a soundtrack to Blue whales--the first to be specified in the Bible--making love in some untraceable immeasurable depth,
Causing intoxicated would-be couples to move their hips in ways that would otherwise be embarrassing or unacceptable in public?
No bogatyr, no offensive lineman.
It's an older white man in a wheelchair.
A Korean kid with a bad back who can only play instruments on his knee.
A petit, shy lesbian who can only reach shortscale.
A once-wealthy horse owner who has never labored in his lifetime and so now is helpless in poverty.

Curled up in the dark on the bed
Murmuring softly to myself
What could I have done?

I could have been there,
I should have been there.
Why did I leave him?

In his time of desperation,
Silently pleading for me, so as not to be alone.
Why didn't I listen?

What could I have done, to fulfill his life
To give the best this world had to offer.
Why am I filled with regret?

Regretting what I didn't do for him,
The poor orphan I loved so dearly for so long.
Why I say?
Why did it have to be today?

Curled up in the dark on the bed
What could I have done?
What should I have done?

- RIP Pepper, I will miss you forever and always

I'm looking through you / you're not the same: same window same here comes the sun same road dust hangover beaten paths crying babies dirty dishes morning commute litter box hurry piggies don't be late--
The difference is, she's with me when I wake.

They said she was blind
As they bounced off the walls
They thought I was crazy
An unshapen image
Reasserting the position of their vicious cycle
Yet again
Idling like an amber morning of distraction
As they built their imaginary boxes
That the rain never touched
At the center of everything
In the middle of nowhere
Sights upon their fingers
Nets aspersed amongst the spires
Unacknowledged, unknowing
Taking the super highway was far enough
Making a mark in the ether
Tagging it with grand impermanence
A stable amongst the ever shifting face
Of uncertain assuredness
They cried as they continued
Stealing gravity from the corner of thier children's eyes
Standing on a bridge of shattered glass
They laughed at the hills
Because they were so small
