Neutrik connectors, 14 ga wire (2mm), brand is immaterial, whichever costs the least.

I don't know how much DIY spirit you have, but you can't go wrong with some Liechtenstein made Neutrik Speakon connectors, and some electric 14 or 12 gauge cable. That would be cheap, easy to make, and nice.

I use monster cable studio pro 1000 (SP1000) speaker cable which come in like every format including Neutrik speakon connections. 6ft is like $40 though.

You can use either. You'll only be using two of the poles anyway. 4 pole (NL4) connectors are more common, but either would work. On a 4 pole, make sure to connect the 2 correct poles according to the amp and cab. They should tell you which to use.

4 pole are for using 4 conductor wire and bi-amping in one cable and connector.

2 pole only has 2 connectors (+ & -) in the plug, 4 pole has 4(+ & - x2). That means a 4 pole can use four conductor cable and carry two signals in the same cable. These are usually used for bi-amping (separate Highs and Lows) in the same cable and connector. In most bass cabs you are only using 1 pair. You can use either plug with 2 conductor cable. Just connect 1 pair in a 4 pole plug.
