Recommedation on Fender Mustang Strings

If you want flats, go with the recommendation above, the La Bella 760F-MUS set. That will get you the classic tone.

If you want rounds, go with GHS Balanced Nickels. They are as the name implies: balanced in tension and tone, they don't flop or twang or thump, they are reasonably priced, and they just clear the nut as they are supposed to do with the string-through-body. Kicker: as they settle in, with the windings being pure nickel, they will take on some of that luscious woodiness we associate with "golden era" Fender flats made by the V. C. Squier company.

Both are great sets of strings; it is your preference.
