Recommend me a 1u power amp

1 or 2 channel. 1u
1KW rms at 4 or 8 ohms.

I dont have a brand preference.
Preamps?
1. AMP SL-1
2. Kern, if its in gods will.

Speakers are TBD, but:
GR Dual 12 or 410 Graphite or the newest MB super light series, maybe the energy series?

Main bass:
Lakland DJ 5 with emg's in 70's position ( I moved the bridge pup ) and currently an NTMB-F.

or, for a rather out-of-the-box solution, perhaps an [This invalid link has been removed]? It clearly has a lot of features that make no sense for a gigging bassist's onstage rig (e.g., IR and IP control?!?! an ethernet port?!?!) but AudioControl does make robust, high-quality products so there's no reason this shouldn't work.

I was wondering about all the frills you mentioned so I clicked the link. I saw it said subwoofer amp, and had a feeling it was low-passed at input. Turns out yeah, definitely a sub amp. I almost got got on a "great priced" amp once that was a.sub amp. Glad I looked before forking over the dough.

Some of the 1RU "Pro" amps like Powersoft are huge in depth and weight. They also have very loud fans when they click on. That's a problem with the form factor and trying to cool it.

For a cheap 1RU this has worked for me for a few years now. Loud fan and all.

Not a "Pro" level amp. 1 Year Warranty. And goes on sale often for even less.
This thing also weights more than some 2ru amps.

I've been using a Powersoft K3DSP (2,600 watts per channel at 4 ohms) and it's been AWESOME. The low frequency performance is simply outstanding (sounds like a good old-fashioned class A/B amp with a gigantic power supply).

Many of leading tour sound companies use Powersoft too.

One of the major issues with 1U power amps is the amount of torque applied to the rack ears.

All the (pro) units I am aware of require rear rack rail support. Many are also very deep… deep enough not to fit in the common size racks used for bass amps.

These are the reasons most power amps start at 2U, it’s a more practical format for most applications.

If by 1U you mean "that would fit in a 1U rack space" then I think this one matches your description (it's ~1.65" tall and 300W @ 4Ohm) :

Can't see any mention of rack mount brackets or anything of the sort on the manufacturer's website though.
