Recommend me a cheap bass preamp!

As the tittle says I am looking for a bass preamp in the cheap end, cause I don't have a lot of money to spend on one.

What I like is a fairly aggressive, punchy and midrangy tone with a bit of bite and tube like grid, nothing too heavy, just at what would be about breakup point.

I am pondering on buying one of these, but other suggestions are welcome:

Harley Benton Custom Line Bass DI-Expander

Eden WTDI Direct Box/Preamp

Hartke Bass Attack 2

Joyo American Sound
(clone of Tech 21 Blonde, but from what I heard, some seems to think the Joyo has a slightly more desirable tone character)

I've another preferences but I'd choose the Hartke because the switchable overdrive..(I like a little bit of dirt in my tone)

The Joyo doesn't have XLR output (for me it's a must in a bass preamp) , I don't like the EDEN tone and the Harley Benton doesn't have overdrive...

I hopt the my opinion helps

MXR M80. Cheap new or used, sounds great. I don't play without it.

I have a Hartke Bass Attack 1. I keep it as a backup now. I think it sounds great. You can get a lot of different tones with the EQ and shape controls. It has XLR out, phantom power, pretty much everything you need. I'd like to try the mk 2 version.

Not exactly :D It's not got the highs cut of the SCR-DI, no XLR out, and it's a tad noisier. Between the two, I prefer the SCR-DI.

Salad, the Bass Attack is a good pedal, but when you say you like midrangey tones, then maybe the Hartke thing isn't your thing. Hartke likes to use the Fender tone stack, which is boost only for bass and treble and cut only for midrange, and the Bass Attack only has bass and treble controls, making it difficult to get mid forward sounds. It's a very good pedal otherwise, and I wish I still had my original Bass Attack, which unfortunately got stolen out of my house during a party, because there are times when that mid scoopy thing it does so well is what I need. Oh well...not like I don't have other stuff. But it was really easy to get those types of sounds with the Bass Attack.
All of this.

I love Hartke gear, but I don’t think it’s what you’re looking for.
