Double Bass Recommendations Wanted: Wireless from Instrument to Amp

... Our 3 hour gig yesterday was with a 4-person band, ...

We played this gig again this afternoon, same venue. Wireless (2.4GHz) worked perfectly. 3 hours with two 15 minute breaks, turning wirelesse off during the breaks, no problem for the battery. And I had a second identical wireless set charged and ready to use just in case, plus a recharging battery ready to use if needed.

I am so pleased with this setup!!!

... Did anybody find that the low input impedance of the wireless transmitter had bad effects on the double bass's sound?
I've never had any problem with this, but it may be because of the hardware I'm using. For my installed piezo I'm using a Vic's Model C => K&K Dual Channel Pro ST => *wireless* => amp. For my installed mic I'm using a Sennheiser e604 => *wireless* => impedance matching transformer => amp.

In both cases I can use either *wireless* or a cable with no difference in sound. For my mic, the Senn e604 is fairly low impedance so I need the impedance matching transformer either with *wireless* or with cable, while the piezo system doesn't need it at all.

Wireless dongles are typically advertised as being functionally the equivalent of a cable and that's been my experience with them.

I've stopped using a a wireless with my double bass. My Line 6 went bad due to the fragile mini-USB charging port (a common issue it seems) so I went with the Fender Telepath system which works great with electric bass but tends to distort when I use it with the double bass, even when I set the input switch to "active"

Hmm, no problems here. I'm still using the Getaria 2.4GHz wireless dongles discussed with the OP, no problems.

My understanding is that 2.4GHz has longer range and better penetration than 5GHz or 6GHz. FWIW, I can confirm that with my wireless data connections at home. And I've never had any interference issues with the wireless dongles, so at this point in time I have no interest in changing.
