Recommended Amps?

Well I'm in the market for a good reliable bass amp that can power a 4x10" cabinet. Looking for something with a nice clean but classic sound (so anything from GK, Ampeg, Ashdown, Mesa...heck even Peavey). Sorta of a rookie to this stuff so any suggestions would be great. I mostly play garage/indie style rock music so an amp that would fit that style would be great.

Cheers!

Price range would be nice.
The Peavey Tour 450 is on sale for 399.00 at MF.com. The Carvin BX600 is the same price, either could power the 410 and both are great deals. The Acoustic B600 falls in the price range too and is a decent, powerful amp.
For 500 - 600 bucks you can get a Peavey Tour 700, the Carvin BX1200 or the GK700RBII. All are very good and the Carvin has enough juice to power an extra 410 (if you want) but it's feature loaded and more complicated than the others. For some that's a good thing.
The GK 1001RBII is a great amp at the upper end of this price range also, so is the Markbass LMII.
Over 700 hundred bucks you get into Genz Benz, Mesa, and Trace territory, all very good. Carvin's big dog B1500 and higher-end Markbass amps can be had also.

So this last sentence, do you consider Markbass higher-end over Genz Benz? I think not!:scowl:
There are many great amps out there as several have said. You need to decide on your budget and go from there. Good luck!:)
