My friend warned me about the possibility of frozen beer. That may or may not happen but I figured I wouldn't chance it. I'm pretty much waiting for my hockey game to come on before I crack one open....hence I stuck it in the fridge.
That is nothing. I have seen 36 inches fall in a 14 hour period. I have also seen five feet fall in 48 hours. Although that is a nice dusting that you have there.

Yeah if the temperature is too cold outside then the water content in your beer can freeze you have essentially a beer slushy. One that tastes worse than if you just poured beer into a slushy.
Not that good either. Although if you're just in the negatives (Celsius), then you have a good long while before beer will freeze on ya. Generally it's great if the store you got your beer from didn't have them cooled. Gets them chilled nice and quick

Thankfully we haven't seen that sleet. The deep freeze is a coming which calls for sunny days but temperatures in the single digits. Should make for mo' better pictures if the snow doesn't get dirtied up from traffic.
These will be the last pics until the snow stops; then I'll snap a quick yardstick photo to see where we stand.
I've been taking the camera outside when I go to smoke. I shot these around 2 o clock; grabbed some lunch (biscuits and sausage gravy with home fries), and am just sitting back down to the computer. The Flyers/Habs game starts at 4pm.

The Carport; I don't think it can handle that much snow.
So we decided it was time to remove it.
This pile is off the carport and about as tall as I am.

When I was a young lad we used to walk 30 miles halfway backwards up a hill bothways in 16 feet of snow 11 months of the year!
I have seen that as well. I have also seen bulldozers have to come and clear out the street because the snowplow got stuck. Ever dug out your car from two and a half feet of snow in the morning and at night? Where I used to live got hammered all the time. We still get a bunch here, but not like where I used to live.

I had to dig a tractor out to be able to dig a truck out last winter.
Thank God our stupid plow man didn't come in and get stuck himself. 
And this is one of those big graders, not one of those whimpy city plows. The worst was two years ago when we had a blizzard every weekend for seven week straight.

That's a ten foot drift right there at then end of the drive way.
There's a six foot wooden fence in there somewhere.
