Recording Lessons On PC At Home

I'd like to record the assignments that I get from my bass lessons. My setup at home is primitive esp for 'recording' because I'm fairly new at all this, even playing. Anyway, I have my four stringer, a Peavey Max combo amp (60 watts), a Tascam bass trainer, a Behringer V-Tone Bass BD121 (bass amp modeling, direct-recording preamp and DI box), and a new Dell PC with the standard software (including Sound Recorder). Is the easiest thing to just buy some kind of condenser mic for the PC? Are there other easy options? I don't have a lot of room and don't have a big budget...it's just for recording my assignments. Thanks.

The Samson usb mics work quite well and could not be easier to set up. Download the samson software set your audio in to the Samson and hit record. It would work fine in sound recorder to make simple .wav files. You could spend 70 bucks on the mic and 100 bucks for Cakwalk Home Studio and call it good.

If your v-tone box has an digital out, you can just connect that to your on-board audio card and record to any software you use.
