Oh mama! Do I miss my Transparent Red TL5! Of all the basses I've had go through my hands this is the one that keeps me awake at night.....dreaming of the tone...nothing weird.

I’ve had this one for a few years now. It was owned by Stu Cook (CCR) back when he was in Southern Pacific. Not planning on letting it go anytime soon but You never know.
Mine had been converted to fretless and had Bartolini PU's and Pre. Sounded freaking incredible.
I bought that bass from Dan Lakin basses. It was on the mailing list and I called and talked to him. I bought it just based on his description of it over the phone. When it arrived I was so excited I sold my natural Fender Jazz Plus 5 that same week.

Thanks. It's considered black pearloid, although to me it looks more charcoal with all the grey.

Just two red basses - the one in my user pic and this, a Yammie TRBX304. I think a candy Apple metallic red finish looks awesome on basses.

Interseting combo. If someone described this to me I'd probably say 'Meh!'

I have a few red basses, but only two with PGs. One is Black and one is Tort. The others are PG-less.
They're either painted red, trans red, sunset red or sandblasted red. Here goes! Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Fender Lyte. It came with gold hardware, which I replaced with black. I had the pickguard custom made.
