To me, Candy Apple Red is one of the sexiest paints.
I love the look of anodized gold on a red bass.
Really, anything aside from a plain white PG would get my vote.

My 2009 American Standard P5 basking in the sun. I believe its Candy Cola Metallic Red and the white guard is slowly fading to mint.

Depends on the shade of red. Light reds like Fiesta Red I like brown tort or cream. Candy Apple I like white pearl. Dark reds i like black.

I was just about to report that I don't own a red bass, but I actually do have one. Not terribly exciting but it's a Kala SUB Solidbody, so yes I made it into this thread. It would appear I have never taken a picture of it, so the following is just from the web. Just a SUB & they pretty much all look similar. The only other thing I can add is that I keep this one beside my bed, instead of my music room, in case something pops into my mind.
I realize I have not provided a "cool" red bass, so I'll post a few of my favorites that are included in my wishlist.
One of my favorite red finishes would be this Mayones Comodous 6 at [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]. They call this finish Liquid Red.
Aquilina has 2 basses/finishes, based on the Mustang Shelby. There's a GT 250 which is blue with white and a GT 500 which is red with white. This is the GT 500.
