Be careful. Red and Blue together can clash something awful. Ever see red text on a PC screen with a blue background? It isn't a bass and pick guard but the colors don't always coexist well.

Yeah, that's why I haven't done the blue pick guard. Maybe an American flag pick guard?

I built that (and the other ones too). I call it the EB-PL. It is a hybrid between two classic bass guitars from the 1950's. The Les Paul Double Cut shaped EB-0, plus 50's P.
The Brooks EB-PL is a 34" scale bass. I enlarged the body of the EB-0 a little bit to keep the proportions right for the 34" scale. And to prevent neck-dive. It is a solid one-piece mahogany body with a mahogany glued-in neck. The pickup is a custom made hand-wound single coil. The location of the pickup is a little towards the bridge position. Where the front coil of the humbucker on a MM Stingray would be.
The machines heads are light-weight Schaller. And the fretboard is rosewood.
It also features a spokewheel truss-rod. With the access at 22nd position of the fretboard. So there was no wood removed underneath the topnut, which is of course the notorious weak spot with most Gibson basses (and guitars).
