Reddi + Sansamp Vt

Sorry for bringing back this old thread, but I would need some advise as I am about to buy a Reddi for recording purposes only.

I'm looking for a Soundgarden type of sound. Basist Ben Shepherd for recording is using a Precision with a mix of SVT-VR and B-15 (with some V-Twin Pedal as overdrive).

At this moment at home I have only a ampeg SVTII-P (and a sh*tty sansamp BBDI that scoop all my mids...).
From my SVTII-P I have to go through a few plugin (GTR-cab sim/wave CLA) to start making it sound acceptable.
1) Will I get better result with a REDDI (or at least more options and mix the signal)?
2) Is the REDDI accepting overdrive pedal, such as VT or Darkglass vintage?

Soundgarden bass only (start around 1mn)
