How did you finish the aluminium? Looks like it’s been Grit blasted or something.

I hit it with my DA sander with 150 grit to knock off any sharp edges. It will sanded finer and painted black when ready.

Have you thought of black anodising? That's an idea definitely worth considering. I don't like outsourcing anything really. I've been considering getting a powder coating rig... What did you use to calculate the fret angles?The neck is just about ready to set. Complete with 25 gloriously crooked frets!
