Oh ok gotcha, the shape would make a difference, I've never paid attention to my necks in that aspect..

Geometry can get pretty deep pretty quick. My Dingwall Z has asymmetric carve that's also compound as it goes up the neck. It also has a compound radius, multi-scale fretboard as well as a compound angled headstock.

Just about the only thing it doesn't do is torzal twist.

The “asymmetrical” shape has slightly less wood on the treble side, as opposed to the usual C shape, flat C shape, or D shaped necks that are far more common.
