Reeves Cabinet Question

I'm planning on getting a Reeves Custom 225 in the next few weeks. I'm kinda stuck on what to put under it. I know that the Reeves 1x15 cab is supposed to sound wonderful but for what 2 of them will cost, I know I can get something else. The question is what and will it sound any better?

I'm thinking of either a 2x15 & 2x6.5 two way or 2x12 & 2x6.5 two way. Most likely one of Greenboy's designs and built by LDS. I play in a cover band that does everything from Bonnie Raitt to Cracker & Toad the Wet Sprocket. My basses are also all over the place so I'm looking for a pretty neutral cab that will adjust as I adjust the amp's tone settings.

Also whatever cab I have built, I'm gonna try to have it look like s Reeves/Hiwatt cab(tolex color, grill cloth, piping...).

Suggestions???

Yeah, either of those cabs built by LDS will do what you want. Good luck.

For a tube head like that I'm thinking a lot of people would find two 15 and a single 6 would probably have the voicing a lot of tube people would really dig, or two 12 and a single, less sensitive 6.

Thanks for the input but as things go, the reeves is out of the question right now. I just picked-up a MINT Aguilar DB-728! So same question but now with more power! 2x15's and one mid driver?

I've been following all of your threads on the 1503 as well as your designs. 2x12's or 2x15's? I'd be using either the 3012LF's or 3015LF's so I guess its a question of performance Vs, size and weight?
