Refretting costs

To be honest I really have no idea!!! I just bought the bass yesterday and the action was really high. So I tried to adjust it myself (after watching a you tube video) Got it nice and low but there's a wicked buzz at the third fret on the A string. I'd blame it on my attempt at a do it your self adjustment but it's only that one fret on that one string?
