Double Bass Reginald Veal

I just heard Reginald for the first time yesterday. I had bought Cassandra Wilson's cover of "Closer to You" (by Jakob Dylan, originally performed by The Wallflowers). His bass on it is the kind that makes me want to hug my speakers, put the song on repeat and keep on listening.

It was a wow moment! I found myself a new bass hero, that's for sure.

Veal is the man. Great player, nice guy.

Damon, you're full of sh*t. (Haven't been here long enough to know if you can say stuff like that here)

You just did...........big ******* deal.

I saw you whining about nobody mentioning Robert Hurst under that ten year old "Favorite bassists".
I nicely pointed out to you that that thread was old and only one of about five threads like that where he was mentioned several times. you came back to me and said "That's no excuse". Now this.......seven posts here and in two of them you seem to like to act like an ass-hole.

First let me point out that in the favorite bassist thread the last post before mine was only a week old. Secondly I didn't come back to you personally and certainly didn't mean to offend anyone. I merely explained that even when the thread started Bob Hurst had been around for 15 years. If you think that's whining or acting like an ******* that's your problem. I don't think it's more asinine than the Wynton bashing that I was addressing.
