Nope it doesn't lose any low end at all. It is very articulate, surgical even. But you can't add lower frequencies that kick in the stomach, like I used to do with the pickle pie B or tonebender.

Oh man. Surgical. That's exactly what I need on my board right now. I almost wish I had gotten the Diabolik with this paycheck instead of the tremolo I ordered. Oh well, next paycheck is gonna be good, so I'm getting this. Finally.

So, I got my Diabolik today and I love it. I can already tell its never leaving my board. Its so responsive, and doesn't muddy up when I play fast runs. It plays well with other pedals, and really fattens up other dirt boxes. I'm still playing with the placement, but I think I'm going to have it as the last fuzz in my chain to give the rest of them that added thickness. The squish knob is really interesting. I think my favorite setting is right in the middle for a really clear attack but with that mini-explosion sound when I let off the note. Even though the controls are simple, there is a wide tonal range within. Anyone have any tips or favorite settings/combos?

Yeah. Dime the Squish and take out the Dry to TRULY piss off the neighbors and/or your bandmates! ;)

I held off on buying it for way too long, and I really wish I hadn't. I have it now, though, and that's what's important. I finally figured I should get it because I've never seen one bad thing about this, but it's not overhyped like some stuff around here, and I've never seen one in the classifieds, which leads me to believe nobody wants to get rid of theirs. And I know why, now. Its crazy, because it doesn't do anything really "out there" effect-wise. Its just really good at what it does and has a lot of interesting tonal variation. I can't wait till the wife and kid go to bed so I can put on my headphone amp and put this thing through the paces for real. I've only had about an hour with it due to work. Stupid work. I have to work to get more gear, but then work tears me away from said gear. Its a vicious cycle.
