I seem to be rather good at buying TB's pedal of the month, not liking it, then posting on here saying it's crap and ruffling peoples feathers.

I have managed to do this with the Darkglass B3K, Iron Ether Oxide, Verellen Big Spider, Mountain King Megalith and 3Leaf You're Doom so far.

I will probably pick one up. I don't like the majority of sounds I hear from the demos, but I do really like that bit in the PedalsAndEffects demo where Juan turns the squish right down and Justin stares straight at him trying to conceal a massive boner.

Haha, that part of the video helped solidify my decision to buy it. I was actually thinking about getting an Oxide but Vegas suggested the Diabolik and I became obsessed.

I just messed with my signal chain and the Diabolik sounds even better before my other dirt pedals. My chain is now Second Voice - Diabolik - Mini - custom octave up fuzz w/ starve and oscillation - EQD Hummingbird - Tuner - Rusty Box - Amp.

Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.

Can anyone compare the VFE Wood Chipper to a B:assmaster of the Diabolik? I have the VFE but have yet to try an actual B:ass and was wondering how well the VFE modeled the Maestro that it was pretty much cloned after like the B:ass was....

To the other owners, where do you feel the squish has the most bass?

And is the fuzz knob really only a volume, or more = different sound? I can't quite tell.

The Diabolik is cutting through perfectly, but I am still missing some very low end. I tried to eq and tone shape after it, but I can't quite get where I want.

Also anyone finding that when playing long sustained notes on the low E it seems to have problems staying stable? (at least with the squish between 1/2 and the max)

For now it has replaced my Pickle Pie B and will stay on. The PPB was totally drowned in the mix, however, I liked to turn it on after a rat-like distortion to give it some additional low end, which I am not able to achieve (forw now) with the Diabolik.

I love the Diabolik and so do my band mates. I find my preferred settings are Fuzz at 2 o' clock; Clean at 12 o' clock; and Squish at 8 o' clock. I find that a little bit of the Squish goes a long way. A very clear and reactive fuzz pedal.

I have the fuzz and clean about 2 and the squish 730 ish. The squish definitely goes a long way. A very long way.
