How do I remove the nitro cellulose clear coat with out scratching the paint underneath? I have used a couple of methods and currently I have big swatches that look dull and scratched. I'm hoping that means that I just haven't removed all of the nitro? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

Acetone and a soft cloth will remove nitrocellulose lacquer without scratching the underlying paint/stain. I don't know if it will remove the paint too though. Pull the neck and try it in the neck bed.

Thanks. I’ve used acetone and in spots it’s now kind of built up in spots. I assume that means I haven’t removed it all and I should keep going? I paused just to make sure I don’t go too far before I know what’s happening
