Japanese made Ibanez guitars have titanium rods, as well as the Premium line.

p.s. I lived in the San Fernando Valley for years back in the day; Tampa Blvd, Natick St, Topanga, Devonshire Blvd, Yosemite in Simi----it was pretty dang cool back then with a screaming music scene.

The low end J&D basses and some Harley Bentons have graphite rods,expect the necks come from the same factory.
Thing is they don't mention them, on a $100 bass that $2 spent on rods is a safeguard against QC returns. For the big F it's an added bonus you're getting.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the limited Edition 2013 MIJ Fender Bass VI has graphite rods in the neck.

Pretty much anything new (especially coming from Fender) is the news at the TB water cooler for a while. Why is that even a question?

If Ford or Chevy try something different it is the talk of the car forums, even if it isn't life-altering.

If Sony does something differently it is news on the stereo forums, even if it isn't life-altering.

If Food Lion does something differently it's the talk of the coupon forums, even if it isn't life-altering.

Nothing to see here.

My America Standard Jazz bass has them. I’ve had the bass almost 4 years. The neck hasn’t needed an adjustment ever. Intonation is spot on.

It’s been my #1 since the day she came home. I even sold my American P bass. It has the same truss rods but let’s face it. Jazz bass’ just sound better.

My Fenders supposed to have ‘em. Don’t really know; I’ve not looked. So to see ‘em, where is it on the neck exactly that I cut?

I have 'em in my Warmoth necks. The do help with stability and dead spots, as far s I can tell.
