Search didn't reveal a whole lot - one here (http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f36/diy-volume-pedal-469967/) about remote volume control, but not really what I'm after.
I thought of a VERY USEFUL trick that I'd love my FCB-1010 (midi foot controller) to be able to do. Not really a trick I guess, but it would actually be a midi-controlled volume pedal/box needing just midi-in, audio in & audio out. And some programming, of course...
I envisage, in certain presets as appropriate, setting up each of its 2 expression pedals to send volume controls on separate midi channels. One expression pedal would adjust the synth volume, while the other would trigger volume adjustments in the raw (bass) audio/analog signal by virtue of the volume CC arriving on its dedicated midi channel. Thereby, volume for each signal path could be controlled independently, or in unison by simultaneous operation of the adjacent expression pedals.
I know it's been done (see the Prostage VCA here http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f36/diy-volume-pedal-469967/), but at 198 it's not cheap. Anyone know of a how-to for a DIY alternative?
