not the best recording, and I totally show my mediocrity during the bridge of the second song, but here are two songs (originals) from last night. The video never lies.
The closest I can get to "country-like" music that I have done, is more Southwest/Latin-y.

I clearly have more work to do on intonation. This one is a little bit better in that regard.
Who has a recording of a fretless Electroline with Acousticores on it using just the piezo bridge?
Rethinking the whole fretless thing, after bandmates prefer the tone of other basses in my collection.
Now I wouldn't necessarily base my decision just on that, after all, I'm the bass player, am I not?
But basses that get played are the ones that stay in my collection, or else they get passed onto someone else.
As a result, my 4-string Turner Renaissance may be heading into classifieds soon.

There is a darn nice Electroline 434-PMM on Reverb right now. An earlier model, but looks to be in fine shape... might be worth pitching an offer.

I have thought a couple times about trying that... I have an old set of AcoustiCores I could throw on the fretless Electroline. Obviously it would render the magnetics useless, but I believe the 'reference' piezos embedded in the bridge saddles would be just fine solo'd.
I think -and I may be wrong here- but I think the blending electronics do go from 0-100% allowing you to hard pan to either source. We'll have to question @Rick Turner about that.
The more I think of an Electroline 5-17-34-P, the more I like it. Lam headtock w/ pickguard face, 0 fret, body truss. Pao ferro. Silver or graphite on alder/poplar. Think Rick would do SS frets?

The first song in this demo reel is my old Electroline 535P-FL with Acousticores on it. They were very versatile strings.

That sounds great, I wonder if Rick would build an Electroline with just the piezo (and associated electronics)? As I suspected, it doesn't need magnetic pickups.

Good thing I've already spent the money on a few light fixtures from Arroyo Craftsman, to tide me over until the funds are replenished.
A fretless 4 string piezo only Standard in a nice deep wine red would fill the bill nicely.

Mine was built that way (no magnetic pickups) in 2001. There was a period where he couldn't get the Piezo material for the Electroline, but I think that is resolved. I only sold mine to buy my 150 year old upright. I LOVED that bass, but I needed the upright...
