Where's the rest of it? That's what the headstock on my old '00 RB4-FL looked like.
I take it those are TI JRs on it?
I posted my five string Electroline in the for sale section if anyone is interested. I love the Electroline bass, but as many times as I try to convince myself that I am a five string player, it is just not a good fit. I’m hoping to sell this one and then buy a four string Electroline.
Rick did that on a lot of his necks in the 90s and early 2000s, but these days we use slab boards

Hey All (y'all, if you're from here...
) I'm going to be signing off from Talkbass for a while, so I hope someone else here will keep the Turner Thread going. I've sure had a great time with it, and made a few friends here too. Rick made some of the finest instruments on Planet, and it's so nice to see his legacy live on.

Anyone knows what frequencies the two trimpots at the side of the Renaissance bass are? (Mine is a RB5 from 2002.)
IIRC, one should be a bass boost, the other is a gain trim.
New to me featherweight Model 1. These Model 1 basses are just wonderful!

I found that there are adjustable pots in my two Model 1 basses.
My 2016 Model 1 with active EQ and piezo has three blue pots.
My 2005 Model one with piezo but no active EQ has two yellow pots.
Does anyone know what these pots do? I’m assuming they have to do with tone and output adjustments.

Also, the bass with the EQ has developed what appears to be a ground issue. It has a slight hum that goes away completely when I touch either the cable plug in the 1/4 jack or the toggle switch used to turn on/off the active EQ. Any suggestions of where I should start looking to try to fix it? Thanks!

The two blue trim pots are gain for each channel, the piezo is the one on top and the magnetic is on the bottom, gain increases when turned counter clockwise. The lone blue pot is the band width for the EQ.
The gold ones do the same, with the magnetic pickup on the outside of the board and the piezo on the middle of the board.

Dropping in... looks like all is well.
The daily front page foolishness on TB got the best of me and I decided to check out for a while. Actually been reading more on the DB side. It's just about as redundant there too. At least I can relate to most of it.
Back over my way in Virginia, I've been woodshedding acoustic guitar like a madman. (now that I can...) Since this last operation, all the pent-up music I wanted to play for about 5 years is trying to find its way out, so I let it go by whatever path it chooses. I used to play guitar, especially rhythm guitar in bluegrass/oldtyme string bands, and lately I'm on a Norman Blake and Doc Watson flatpickin' kick. Alternately, an M-38 Custom and Vintage RI J-35.
What little bit of bass I've been playing has been my upright, or my semi-Alembicized Starfire. I did take the fretless Turner Electroline on a gig last week, and closed out a set with it. I still want to make a fretted neck for it. If I kick the bucket, that one goes to @Jeff Scott, just because I know he likes it. Now if only Jeannie can figure out who the heck Jeff is...

I don't think too much of this new platform here at TB so far, but maybe it'll work out. Nothing special to report... just checking in on the thread to make sure it was still here.
I did take the fretless Electroline to an Independence Day picnic gig, waaaaay up in the mountains here the other day, but ended up playing my old Guild Starfire bass. I was planning to switch off to the fretless for the second set, but threatening weather caused the BL to play a loooong first set, then the downpour came. I pulled a trash bag over my trusty old WalkAbout Scout 15, hit the switch on the power strip, and ran for cover with my '67 Starfire. (like it ain't never been wet before...) The Turner was safe and dry in the car, parked under a bunch of shady trees.
We needed the rain anyway.

Still here, passed along the Electroline I mentioned above (sticking to four strings), still have my Model 1 though, both fantastic instruments!
