Replace active with passive - how?

Ok, so I'm going to be replacing my active electronics in my Ibanez GSR-200 (with phat II) to a passive system. I'm REALLY liking the sound of the Lace Aluma P and J. I know I'll need to replace the pots as well, but what pots do I need? 250k? 500k? Also, I would like to add a tone control (probably TBX) to replace my phat II control. Just thought I would add that in case it made any difference.

I once spoke with their customer support (Jared Reynolds) and he said they recommend the following.

"We recommend 250K pots and the cap value is .022. "

That being said i have 500K CTS liner taper pots and a .047 cap (leftovers in my parts bag) on my Aluma P, and it sounds great.

Thanks for the repsonse! So basically aside from possibly adding in the TBX, I would wire it in like Seymore Duncan shows here but use a cap of .022? [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I think that wiring will work for your PJ setup. One thing to note, is the aluma series have 4 wires: black, white, green, orange. The link below has wiring diagrams for the aluma series.

Thanks for your help gidbass! Somehow I didn't see Lace's wiring diagrams on their site.

I can only find one online retailer that sells lace Aluma P and J pickups, and they don't seem to have CTS pots, so it looks like I'll have to order from 2 different places (sigh) oh well.

So now that the wiring's all figured out, do you think the TBX is worthwhile or is there something better that I could replace my phat II control with?

sorry, i am not familiar with TBX or phatII. I just prefer a simple tone control...

Thanks for the help. Thinking about it harder, I think I would like:
1:volume
2:volume
3:tone
4:rotary selector switch for pickup selection (neck, both series, both parallel, bridge only)

Do you know what kind of switch I would need for this? I can't seem to find anything on my own so a link would be appreciated.

Never mind guys, I found a 4 way rotary switch and figured out how to hook it up to do what I want. Thanks for the help again gidbass
