Replacement Bridge for Fender Sting bass

Has anyone tried replacing the stock twin-saddle bridge of the Sting bass with the Fender Deluxe string through bridge? I hear it's a drop-in replacement but one TBer mentioned something about it not working as well as the string throu BA III. Intonation issues out-weigh the vintage vibe here. Thanks!

but the badass will change the tone of your bass + string grooves are shallow on the E that might not line up and cause your string to sit at an angle then the groove does not hold the string well and action might suffer. Are you sure you want to join the pimp my bass crowd. Tried a badass 111 on my jazz for a hour I think they are **** big block of metal separating the strings from the tone wood, please remember when you change bridges and pups as so many do you will change your bass go back to what made you buy the bass if it was the sound leave it alone, but if you bought it for its good looks the pimp your bass
