I can live with them but they're not my favorite (BD5C). I'm tripping over myself trying to ID something with like dimensions (100 mm X 35 mm). Any suggestions? Thx for the assistance!

Thank you. Honestly, there's not a lot available in the desired size (100 x 35).Delano SBC 5 collection HE/S and HE/S 4 look promising. Would certainly sound different from the Barts.
Bud LeCompte can make you something sweet in almost any size format, and he even tailors pole piece spacing to your specific instrument and setup. My Crescent Moon bass had a switch for single/dual coil for the Barts that it came with. I usually ended up only using single coil mode, and after two pickup swaps I'm back to single coils again, but I'm a lot happier with the LeComptes. It does get expensive though, and for me strings still made a bigger difference.*meh*...I'm starting to second-guess this project. Delano makes a drop-in but that's pretty much it. $300 will put me in a new set of pickups but I'm not convinced that the bass will sound 300 bucks better. Plan B...
I'm 99% the Bart HB's are wired in series hum-cancelling (red & white are tied together) but there are alt wiring options:
I'd rather just add a 3-way switch which allows outer & inner coil selection IF the control cavity has the required real estate. Could be a lot of nuthin' but isn't that sometimes the case?!?
