Replacement J bass pups

I'll admit that I'm lazy and don't want to look through all of the threads I'm sure are already out there....

But I'm looking to upgrade my stock MIM jazz bass p'ups

Preferably with some duncans (thanks to avail gift certs and $$), I'm stuck between the Qtr Pounder and the Hot for Jazz.

Do the cover band thing with some original bluesy sounding stuff thrown in, so I need a "jack of all trades" p'up but primarily 90s style rock, grunge, garage rock sound with a bit of everything thrown in.

Let's hear some suggestions!

Note that I'm not totally opposed to others p'ups than Duncans...:)

I just want to keep the costs down to a minimum. It is a MIM Jazz after all....:bassist:
