Hi guys.
I have a Trinity Amps Trip Top B 15 clone playing through an Ampeg HE 115 cab. Lately I'm getting some flubby tones and I suspect the bass driver. We play Old School Country and I'm using flats. Any suggestions for a replacement woofer ?

First, thanks for responding, and thanks for your thoughts on my post. Yes, it would be money wasted to replace the speaker if that's not the issue. I believe it's not the pickup ( a Fralin ) and the amp is biased at 60 percent, and I'm pretty gentle with my right hand. Sometimes you just have to change something and see what happens.

No, you need to do some troubleshooting rather than guess. That's entirely different than guessing.

What happens when you use the cabinet with a different amp, bass and cables?

Are you using any pedals???

Not all amps pair well with all speakers.

Example:
I have a pair of home built EV TL405 cabs. These are huge (13 cu ft) ported cabs loaded with EVM18Bs that play down in the high 20hz range. IMHO they sound really good with some of my tube amps. Ampeg SVT or Reeves 400 and pair of TL405s = :woot:. They sound pretty marginal with some of my tube amps as well. Aguilar DB359 and pair of TL405s = :meh:.

Right, you need to be sure the problem isn't with the Trinity head. I see very few issues with those speakers, yours may have failed but it's not likely.

That isn't what @agedhorse is saying. Whether you only use the Trinity or not makes no difference.

1) Have you tried another guitar cable? If it's the same try #2
2) Have tried another speaker cable? If it's the same try #3
3) Have you tried another bass? If it's the same try #4
4) Have you tried a different amp?

You should be able to find the problem by the process of elimination.

It's just prudent to eliminate the cheapest alternatives first.
