Replacing flatwound string for new one

I have a set of eb 50-70-85-105 and i love them. They are just starting to break in nicely but i dont like the 105 and since i was going to order some other strings i figured i would add a single eb 100 on the order.
My thought being the e string is the quickest to break in usually on a set. The strings are just 2 months old, but would adding the new string be messing with the tone balance of the strings too much? Or does my thought seem right.
Anyone have any experience doing so?

It will take pretty much as long as the last string did to break in.

Flatwound E strings don't usually have enough overtone structure to worry about. As a matter of fact, my perspiration chemistry usually kills E strings first, and I routinely changed out only the E string after a few gigs when I played mostly rounds. I even ordered sets with an extra E. I haven't had to do that on my Fender Flats 9050CL.

If you like a 100 instead of a 105 flat, go for it! If I had seen this thread sooner, I would have sent you one, but I already sent it to another friend to try for the same reason. Sorry!
