Replacing intonation screws...

Hello all

I've never done this before, and am thinking I should undertake it in the next few weeks (I've messed up the original intonation screws by trying to adjust them at a funny angle (doh) so they need replacing)

So how do I do it?
It looks to be fairly straightforward, but the presence of the springs is intimidating me a bit.

FYI, I have a Warwick Corvette with the split bridge/saddle, and I've read the manual but there's nothing in there about this.

Just unscrew the original.

Screw the replacement screw onto the bridge plate;,
Place the spring over it;
Screw it into the saddle piece.

If replacing the height adjust screws, just remove the original grubs and put new ones in.

Make sure you have a screw with the right thread and a suitable length, a reasonable sized head and preferabbly with a matching finish to the bridge (basically make sure you get the same as what is already in there!) :)

Simple!

Thanks! I'll give it a whirl when I get some new strings.

As for being the correct screws I went on Warwicks website and found these but they seem to be a bit of a rip off so I went on ebay and bought these instead - they're pretty much the same, yeah?

From the pictures it looks like the Ebay screws are course thread and the Warwick screws are fine. Just compare them side by side to with the old ones to make sure.

ohhhhhhh I see....

Just compared them side by side and they're quite different.

Damn my girl-genes!

Ok, I'll give in and order Warwick's ridiculously expensive ones :) (well the screws aren't but the shipping is)
