I never use my tone knob for anything except the push / pull function to engage the cap. How difficult would it be to replace the pot with a toggle switch? What do I have to look for / look out for ?

Replacing Rick 4003 tone knob with switch

What do you need that toggle switch to do? It should be fairly simple to wire a switch to carry out the same function as the push/pull switch. All it does is engage a 4.7 nF capacitor in series with the bridge pickup, or bypass this cap in the other setting.
Pretty much just that. Engage and disengage. I don't need the pot anymore, so can I just remove it and switch in a switch?
