Hi there, I'm looking for some help identifying this bass! I inherited it years ago and am looking to sell it because I haven't picked it up. So I'm trying to figure out its approximate worth. It says "Phoenix" on the head and appears to be made in Japan.

Any help/info will be much appreciated!

Ask in the Electra/Westone owners group. St Louis Music imported Matsu built Phoenix/Electra basses, yours might be one.
That must be it. Tune does a Phoenix line of basses (which I think is similar to what Carvin is doing with their Kiesel line of instruments) and coincidentally have a Jazz bass in their lineup, but what's in the pic isn't that since the script and headstock on those basses are different.

Interesting bass though. Any more pictures?

That's all I have for now, I'll see if I can take some more later. Thanks for your response!

Nice looking j copy! Love the color, classic combo SB with white.

Also I see that it has the truss rod adjustment at the heel with a dummy plug in the headstock.

How does it play/sound?

For me, it sounds ok...but I have never played another bass so I'm not sure! To be honest, I don't know much about bass guitars. I wasn't even aware it was a jazz bass before posting on here. Thanks for the reply!
