I´ve been watching a DBX 786 preamp.



It´s from "DBX Blue line" that´s supposed to be their best. I couldn´t find any reviews of it and I´m considering it for recording our upcoming album. The seller is asking $2000, which seems to be a reasonable price.

If someone ever had the chance to use it, please let me know your opinion. Thanks

i know dbx stuff is good but ive never really had experience with that pre. For $2000 grand theres alot of boutique pre's that id rather take probably. An api lunchbox, some sort of universal audio pre, or a avalon 737 are all roughly in that price range, especially used. Id go with one of those probably but if youve done your research youd know.
