Anyone use these? This is EASILY the best gig bag I've ever used. Seriously. I paid about $170 for it and never looked back. I can fit everything I need for a gig plus extras in it: 2 instrument cables, mic cable, speaker cable, power cable, extension cord, 3 plug island, Zoom recorder, earplugs, tuner, extra strings, setlists, pens, extra batteries, flashlight, ibuprofen... EVERYTHING FITS IN THIS BAG!!!! :bassist:

Just ridiculous. I play frequently enough that hard cases are annoying. I wanted a gig bag that would give me the same protection as a hard case without the annoyance. This does it in spades.

So, you guys like these or not? Or you haven't used it?

I don't have one but my instructor does and he loves it. Have you seen the video on YouTube where they drop a case off a building and the guitar escapes unharmed? My instructor put his pride and joy six string custom bass in the case, threw it across the store, it bounced and tumbled into the front window, and the bass was fine. I'd never do that, even with my cheapies, but he believes in that bag!

Also, I remember it having good storage space but also being quite heavy for a bag. I ended up getting a Mono (and a dual Mono, and a ProTec Contego) because of the weight and also because of how well they protect. I was willing to trade away storage capacity for that. If someone made a bag that has the best features of each of those two, that'd be a winner!

But, as you summarized, the Reunion Blues protects very, very well and has very nice storage space built in.

Yeah, it's a bit heavy, especially when it's loaded down with all my crap, but it's worth it. It has hide-a-way backpack straps which is fantastic, and the handle is actually VERY comfortable to use. I watched those videos, but what sold me completely was this independent review I saw where the reviewer put a raw egg inside a Zip-Loc bag, sealed it, velcro'd it to the neck brave and chucked the whole thing off the top floor of a 4 story parking garage: didn't even crack the egg. Then he followed it up with a wine glass and guess what: no damage. I am the king of accidentally knocking stuff over or smacking my bass on the ceiling or whatever so when I read that review it was all I needed to hear. I've knocked the bag around plenty and it still looks brand new (had it for a couple years now).

I’m trying to decide between the Mono and the Reunion Blues bags. I like the Mono because it sits low when wearing it on my back; but I haven’t been able to try the Reunion bag on. Can anyone comment on how high or low the RB bag sits on your back? Thanks!

I have an Incase bag and I would love to get another one. But, they stopped making them. It is by far my favorite bag on every level. I tried the Reunion Blues bag and I like the build and protection quality on it. But my biggest complaint about it that stops me from buying one is that it does NOT offer a shoulder strap to just sling it over one shoulder. It only has the 2 back pack style straps and the bag sits very high on your body. I wish they would add a strap option that allowed a player to just grab it and throw it over one shoulder and be on your way. Am I asking too much Reunion Blues???

Got one and love it. Don't really use the backpack straps, so I'm glad they hide away like they do. Excellent quality. I was going to buy one of their other gig bags and sent them a question about interior length. The guy that answered said the continental gave the most protection, so I went with it. Haven't thrown the bass off a four-story building yet, but it has been knocked over a couple times, with no I'll effect.

Honestly, the bass sits high on your back. I'm short (5'7"-ish) and I have to duck when I go through most doorways while wearing the case.

The thing I'd really like to point out is that after a year an a half of owning it, it STILL LOOKS NEW! It's gone on over 150 gigs including road trips and doesn't have a scratch. Literally.

I love the attention to detail: the foam barrier between the zipper and the instrument is an excellent feature, as is the leather patch that protects the padded interior from the strings ends on the headstock and the extra pad on the bottom so that the strap button doesn't poke through the bottom of he case. I've been looking for features like this in a not-too-expensive case for YEARS!

That is my only complaint about it. It is very well-designed in just about every other respect and offers unbeatable protection.

I have had mine for almost a year now. I absolutely love it. I haven't had to use it while flying, but I will in May. I am planning on gate checking my bass, but I fully trust the bags ability to protect my precious bass if I had to check it with my luggage.

+1000 on the durability. Mine has been rode hard, and she still looks new.

Do you think the inner linning foam, as well as that amid the neck support part (not the light blue silk surface) will scratch and damage the finish of your bass?
I feel it's very coarse to my fingers, and am afraid that it will "rip off" the finish on the neck and the body of a bass.
